March 14th 

RNLI Flag Day.   WE NEED YOU!

Fundraising with our boats in Guildford. One positioned at the top of the High Street and the other at the bottom of North Street.

So far we have:

Cylinder Filling

Please can everybody who fills their cylinder using the clubs compressor, please fill out the log sheet that is on the wall adjacent to the filling station. We only need basic information, for example…..

 

(your name)        3rd March 2015   1 * 15L, 2 * 12L

 

The servicing of the compressor is organised around the number of hours it has been used, and the information recorded allows us to arrange the servicing at the correct times.

 

Help required

I have been asked by a member of the Kayak club to see if anybody would be interested in helping one of their members who dropped his i-phone in the river. They know where the phone is and would appreciate some help with recovering it. If you are able to help, please contact Tim 07796 154285

 

April 25th (Sunday) – Hard boat trip out of Brighton

Easter trip - April 2015

The Easter Trip is 3rd – 6th April, This year, like the last, the club will be visitingSt Keverne in Cornwall. For more information please see the DOs board on a Tuesday evening or look at the link on the clubs website.

The only difference to previous years is that the club will be basing itself at Porthkerris instead of Porthustock.

 

If you are planning on coming along for the (long) weekend, please inform Dave Culver, as this will help enormously with the planning.

 

St Abbs, Scotland – August 2015

Nikki is organising a trip to St Abbs from 27th-31st August with the possibility of doing the Farn Islands on the way back (on the 2/3 Sept).

SHOUT - 10th February 2015

 

Thanks to everyone who came to the planning meeting last week.

We’ve had good feedback, not only on the nibbles and wine but also the proposals and so we will move forward with the plan to have one boat kept in Portland for the summer with the other boat free to roam.

Looking for marshalls to step up to the plate (or perhaps more appropriately, the crease?) to make this a great year of diving!

As a condition of our pool booking with the Spectrum we are required to provide a lifeguard.

 

Failure to provide a lifeguard will result in our booking being cancelled and we will lose the Spectrum for good.

Starting at 8.00 pm, the club will be holding a presentation to outline this seasons diving. Afterwards we will be award the various cups for 2014 to the lucky winners.

 

Please make every effort to attend this evening.

Now that we have got Christmas out of the way, it is time to start thinking about Easter, this year, like the last few, the club will be visiting St Keverne. For more information please see the DOs board on a Tuesday evening or look at the link on the clubs website.

Congratulations

Congratulations to James Paddison and the lovely Lucy who had a healthy baby girl on Monday. Rosie Ffion Paddison weighed in at a hearty 8lbs 5, she obviously takes after her dad. J

 

Training

There are still a few spaces on the Isle of Wight Rib trip, 25th Jan 2015. The cost for the Rib trip is £20. You will need to bring money for food and drink. The plan is to go to the Folly Inn pub on the Madina River IOW for lunch.
